Impartiality

As a certification, validation and verification body of the TÜV NORD GROUP, TÜV NORD Vietnam understands that the value of every certificate and verification statement depends on the impartiality, independence and competence of the body that issues it. The management of TÜV NORD Vietnam is committed to the following principles, in line with the principles of ISO/IEC 17021-1 (management system certification), ISO/IEC 17065 (product, process and service certification) and ISO 14065 (validation and verification of environmental information).

1. Impartiality and independence

  • Certification decisions are based solely on objective evidence obtained during the audit and are not influenced by commercial, financial or other pressures.
  • We do not offer or provide management system consultancy and do not perform internal audits for organisations we certify. We do not certify other certification bodies.
  • We do not market or offer certification linked to the activities of a consultancy, and we do not suggest that using a particular consultant makes certification simpler, faster or cheaper.
  • Certification decisions are taken by persons independent of the audit team.

2. Managing conflicts of interest

We regularly identify, analyse and control risks to impartiality, including those arising from relationships of the organisation and its people. Auditors and other personnel must disclose any current or previous relationship with a client; personnel who have provided consultancy to or worked for an organisation are not assigned to audit it within the defined period. Certification is not carried out where there is an unacceptable threat to impartiality.

3. Confidentiality

Information obtained during audits is kept confidential, except information the client has agreed to publish or that must be made public under the applicable rules (such as certificate data) or by law. All personnel and auditors sign confidentiality undertakings.

4. Competence

Auditors, technical experts and decision makers are selected, trained, evaluated and monitored regularly according to the requirements of each standard and technical sector.

5. Complaints and appeals

Clients and other parties may complain about the activities of TÜV NORD Vietnam or a certified organisation and may appeal against certification decisions. Complaints and appeals are handled impartially by persons not involved in the activity concerned. The complaints and appeals handling procedure is published on the Documents page; please send your complaint or appeal to moc.dron-vut@manteiv.

6. Transparency and certificate verification

The status of certificates issued by TÜV NORD Vietnam (valid, suspended, withdrawn) can be checked in the certificate verification portal. The general certification conditions and rules for use of the certification mark are published on the Documents page.
